Two messages

Dear Friends of Mr. Gray,

Now that spring break is here, I am finally (and VERY belatedly) posting two messages from Mr. Gray. I'm sorry to be so behind; I'll try and be more up-to-date in the future. Please continue to check back at this blog regularly for updates (and leave comments! :-D All comments are sent directly to Mr. Gray.).

May you be as encouraged reading this as I was!

Blessings,

Dear Friends,

I continue to be extremely grateful for your love shown by your faithful prayers, your encouraging letters, your gracious gifts, and your sacrificial visits. "The Lord will not forget the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to do so." (Heb. 6:10) Within this most sorrowful and painful trial, the Lord has blessed me over and over again. Each day I see His provision, His sovereign protection, His faithful dependability, His mercy and grace, and His lovingkindness—every day!

I usually begin my day praying for grace and mercy to persevere through the day, and to please Him. I see answers to prayers DAILY. I see Him gently working in my own heart, working in those areas that need strengthening, changing, and cleansing.

This last year at Corcoran, I've seen the Lord do much in the hearts of many men here. I've seen young believers grow much stronger in their faith. I've seen men grow more sound in doctrine. I've seen men who have lost EVERYTHING—their families, home, careers, possessions, and freedom—praise God for prison because God is using it to direct their hearts fully on the Lord. They, along with myself, see God bringing us much closer to Himself and refining us. We are THANKFUL for this trial. It is really a blessing because we are growing in ways we wouldn't if we weren't here. We don't like the difficulties, but we like what God is doing in it.

This next year I pray that many men here would trust Christ as their Lord and Savior. I pray the brothers here would be built up in the faith through the Bible Institute we have started. Many of the men will eventually leave here and return to society. I pray they will leave strong in the faith and able to produce spiritual fruit. Many will return to their families. They need to be mature in their walk so they can be godly husbands and fathers.

So please help me this new year do the work of the ministry to which God has called me by your prayers, letters and visits. These men need you.

Dear friends, I also ask prayer for my beloved family—their spiritual and physical needs. I love them all and pray for them everyday. "With God all things are possible."

I am so very grateful for all of you. God bless you.

In Christ,

David Gray

Dear Friends,

Just a quick note to let you know I'm doing great in the Lord, even though surrounded by many trials and afflictions. Jesus said in this world we would have trouble, but we would also have His peace. Your prayers are working. The ministry is advancing, the Word is going out. Men are coming to the Lord AND being built up in the faith. Please continue faithfully in prayer. Please pray for my children and their mother. Pray for Mr. Vu, my friend. God bless you all.
